Aluminum Diethyl Phosphate (ADP)



1 Product Introduction:
ADP is a white powdery non halogenated organic phosphorus flame retardant. This product is insoluble in water and organic solvents, but easily soluble in strong acid and alkali solutions. It has the advantages of high phosphorus content, high thermal stability, non-toxic, low smoke, small particle size, low specific gravity, good dispersibility, easy coloring and low density (1.2kg/L), and can be widely used as an efficient flame retardant in thermoplastic plastics (such as PA, PBT), fibers, and textiles.

Features: It does not contain halogens and can achieve UL 94 V-0 flame retardant rating, efficiently flame retardant while maintaining good mechanical properties of polyester.

3 Usage and dosage:
This product has the advantages of small particle size, high whiteness, and good thermal stability, and is widely used as a flame retardant for thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics, fibers, textiles, and other products. Such plastics as nylon (PA6, 66, etc.), polyester (PET, PBT), thermoplastic elastomers, polyoxymethylene, epoxy resin, etc. are flame retardant. This product can be used alone or in combination with flame retardants such as melamine polyphosphate and cyanuric acid melamine to achieve better results. Due to its high phosphorus content and high flame retardant efficiency, this product is particularly suitable for polyester and can maintain good physical and electrical properties. This product is suitable for both glass fiber reinforced and non reinforced grades. The amount of this product added may vary depending on the polymer grade, processing conditions, and glass fiber addition.
This product is used in halogen-free flame retardant PA6, PA66, and halogen-free flame retardant high-temperature nylon PA 6T/66. It is compounded with melamine polyphosphate or melamine cyanurate and added with 15%, usually achieving UL 94 V-0 (1.6-0.8 mm thickness).
This product is used for halogen-free flame retardant PBT and PET, and can be used alone or in combination with melamine polyphosphate or melamine cyanurate. When adding PBT with a dosage of 20%, the material can reach UL 94 V-0 grade (thickness between 1.6-0.8 millimeters) as an electrical accessory. When adding PET at a dosage of 15% by weight, it can reach UL 94 V-0 grade.
This product can be applied to printed circuit boards made of halogen-free flame-retardant epoxy resin laminates, as well as flexible printed circuits. It can also be applied to the halogen-free flame retardant modification of special high-end cables, hot melt adhesives, coatings, sealants, and other thin-walled material parts, all of which have good surface quality, dispersibility, hydrolysis resistance, ion migration resistance, and comprehensive mechanical properties, especially suitable for high-end product application fields with strict requirements for halogen-free flame retardant and electrical performance.
Before adding this product, the polyester material should generally be pre treated. If possible, the moisture content of PBT and PET materials should be less than 0.05% and 0.005% by weight, respectively. Under normal circumstances, this product does not require pre drying. If a low moisture content of the flame retardant is required, it is recommended to perform pre drying (such as drying at 130 ºC for 3 hours). It is recommended that the melting temperature of the polymer should not exceed 320 ºC.

4 Packaging and Storage:
25KG paper plastic bag packaging, transported as general chemicals, placed in a ventilated and dry room to avoid moisture, and operated according to general industrial production procedures to avoid dust irritation.
